Once a year, every year, I use this page to make sure that I always remember to take a moment to feel the shock and devastation from all those years ago. I want to make sure that I, and those around me, never forget what happened.

On September 11th, 2001, one of the absolute greatest tragedies, if not the greatest American tragedy, occurred. Thousands of helpless men and women lost their lives in the attacks of 9/11.

During the mayhem that followed, our first responders not only rallied to control the chaos but also ran into the explosions and flames to save as many as they could. Many of them were unable to return to us, and many of those who did return will never be the same.

Take a moment today to hug your loved ones. Call those who you cannot hug and let them know you love them. Thank a first responder for all that they risk to keep you and I safe. Last, but certainly not least, never forget.
