It’s turkey day!! A day of cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and tryptophan!! Tryptophan is also today’s word of the day. It is an amino acid found in turkey which has easier access to your brain after eating lots of carbs, like stuffing. To learn more, visit this link. While waiting for that delicious turkey to cook, how about you make a wine cork turkey, directions to which can be found at this link.

Thanksgiving isn’t all about turkey and sleeping. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful. I am thankful for friends, family, my job, those unable to be with their loved ones today, and for scouting. I am thankful for all of the opportunities that have presented themselves to me to make me who I am.

Today, before the turkey is done, I challenge you to name 5 things you are thankful for. Parents, comment your child(ren)’s responses on the Facebook post corresponding to this. Let’s make a list of everything we are thankful for.

Yours in Scouting,

Zack
